About Us

The Commissary Kitchen of Austin was formed by three young Austinites who were obsessed with mobile vending cart food. Realizing that many fantastic vendors could not get a start because of a lack of commissary space, they decided to offer space in their commercial kitchen.

We hope that our space helps budding mobile food vendors and veterans offer Austinites the best that mobile food vendors have to offer.

Overview

The Commissary Kitchen of Austin is a commercial kitchen available to mobile food vendors who need a commissary for their business. Our facility has the following amenities:

• storage for your food (as required by the City of Austin Health Department)
• a place for you to empty your waste water and re-fill your water tanks (as required by the City of Austin Health Department)
• easy access to the facility, day or night

• general liability insurance for at least $1M
• a signed legal agreement (available from this website)
• a valid Food Managers Certified issued by the City of Austin, or an approved institution

Pricing and Payment

To use the facility, a fixed price of $150 per month is payable in advance. In addition, a $150 security deposit is required.

If you prefer, payment can be made 3, 6 or 12 months in advance.
